A River Between Us
A Feature Documentary Film and Campaign...
The Klamath River is home to the most bitter water war in the west, pitting native tribes against farmers and ranchers for over a century. This documentary chronicles the stories and explores the complex history of the dispute surrounding what is the largest restoration project in American history. It examines turning points at which 'plain old people' became true leaders who risked their livelihoods, reputations and relationships to do what is right for the river, wildlife, and their communities along the river, breaking with decades old hatreds and practices that damage this enormous river. This film was produced to support these leaders in their effort to remove four hydroelectric dams, restore salmon runs, bring justice to tribes, and peace to the entire basin.
